AQUACEL® AG Extra™ is a double layer Hydrofibre dressing with impregnated ionic silver within the strengthening fibres. The product turns to a gel when in contact with wound exudate. AQUACEL® AG Extra™ contours to the wound bed, eliminating dead space, to reduce the wounds bioburden, while the silver ions act as an effective antimcrobial. AQUACEL® AG Extra™ uses wicking technology to allow absorption up instead of spreading out.
AQUACEL® Ag ribbon dressing incorporating unique Hydrofiber® Technology with 1.2% (w/w) silver combines the favourable gelling characteristics of Hydrofiber® Technology with the broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties of ionic silver.
